The teachings of Shaikh Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat Ali قَدَّسَ اللّهُ سِرَّه الْعَزِيز, affectionately referred to as "Babaji" (May Allah sanctify his honorable secret) can be categorized into three distinctive parts :

1. Dhikr-i-Dawam (Constant Remembrance of Allah)

O ye who believe!  Celebrate the praises of Allah the Almighty, and do so often; And glorify Him morning and evening.

 -(Al-Ahzab 33:41-42)

2. Daw'ah and Tableegh (Invitation to and Spread of Islam)

Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain happiness.

 -(Ali-Imran 3:104)

3. Khidmat-i-Khalq (Selfless Service to Humanity)

  • Give to your brother what you would like for yourself.

  • Be concerned about the welfare of the helpless, orphans, widows and the needy.

  • Seek the pleasure (Ridā) of the Creator in the service of His creation.

-(Talīm al-Dīn pg.142)
