Hadeeth

The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ declared:

  • Allah the Almighty showered His protection upon seven kinds of people. Among them is the one who when he remembers Allah, He bursts into tears out of His fear.
(Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه, Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol 2, pg 959)

  • The likeness of the one who is absorbed in the remembrance of Allah the Almighty; and the one who is negligent, is of the Likeness of the one who is not from the Living, but from the Dead.  (Abu Musa رضي الله عنه, Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol 2, pg 948)

  • There is nothing greater than the Dzikr of Allah that can give freedom from the punishment of Allah.  (Tirmidzee)

  • Allah keeps His Shadow upon the Dzakir (the one who does the Dzikr). (Al-Bukhari)
